Funeral services for Billie Little, 89-year-old Buffalo resident who passed away Thursday at the Mountain Plaza Assisted Living in Casper, will be held Monday, September 29th at 2:00 p.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Pastor Anne Knighten officiating. Visitation will be held from the funeral home chapel on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to immediately follow the funeral. Donations in Billie’s name may be made to the Jim Gatchell Museum at PO Box 596 in Buffalo. Online condolences may be made at www.harnessfuneralhome.com

Billie Charlene Little was born on April 1, 1936, in Granite City, Illinois to William and Dorothy May. She grew up and went to school in various cities in the Midwest. After high school she attended Kansas State University where she received a B.S. in Education and later, she received a master’s degree from the University of Colorado. In 1962 she met Daniel Patrick Little and in 1964 they were married in Buffalo at the Catholic Church. Billie was a physical education teacher and coach at Johnson County High School for several years before moving to the Clearmont School District where she was also a teacher and coach. Billie and Pat made their home on the Little family ranch in Leiter where they lived ranching with Pat’s brothers and their families. Pat passed away in April of 2022 and Billie continued living in Buffalo until March of 2023 when she moved into assisted living in Casper.

Billie is survived by one sister-in-law Glory Little and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
